DAVID MUNDEE Enterprise senior wrestlers Kameron Stiffler, Grier Hunt and Kody Sigmon went a combined 23-2 to lead the Wildcats during the CPM Border Wars XII Tournament over the weekend at South Walton High School in Santa Rosa, Fla.
In Friday’s opening action, he went 5-0, winning all five by pinfalls. Three of the pins were in the first period, including a 14-second pin. In Saturday’s bracket action, Stiffler went 4-0, winning the weight class title with a 18-1 tech fall win over Howard Hill of St. John’s Country in the championship match. He won by pinfall , major decision and tech fall decision in his other victories.
In other results, Karter Stiffler went 5-4 in the 120-pound weight class, finishing in fourth place; Ty Gilbert went 7-3 and placed fifth in the 150-weight division; Jacob Ortiz went 4-4 and placed sixth in the 215-weight class and Alex Braman went 3-5 in the 157-pound class.
