Downtown Issaquah is seeing waters from Issaquah Creek spilling onto city streets.

Off the Interstate 90 exit toward Front Street, there’s a lot of standing water just behind the historic Shell station near the Darigold plant.Drivers are asked to not drive through the standing water and use Rainer Boulevard North as an alternate route.

According to the National Weather service, urban and small stream flood advisories are in effect for Western Washington through 3 p.m. Friday afternoon.The King County Flood Warning Center is closely monitoring Issaquah Creek and the Tolt River. As of 6:30 p.m. Thursday, the flow on Issaquah Creek at Hobart was recorded at 7.57 feet, surpassing the phase 2 flood alert level.A flood watch will remain in place across Western Washington until Saturday afternoon.
