Hart RB Chris Clauss scores four touchdowns as coach Rick Herrington continues to inspire.
VALENCIA — Hart football gave coach Rick Herrington a Foothill League homecoming to remember on Friday night, beating Golden Valley for the first time since 2018.
“Every time I see him, I think of him in the hospital getting through it,” Clauss said of his coach. “If he can get through that, we can do anything this season.” Clauss scored again with a little under a minute left in the first quarter on a 31-yard run up the near sideline for a 14-0 advantage. Golden Valley’s Jameson Torres nearly had an interception when a Larkins pass intended for Shawn Irwin popped up and landed in his hands, but a penalty nullified the pick. Hart went on to score a touchdown on a 3-yard Clauss run.
