Previews of some of the top football games Friday in the Daily News area:Hart opens its Foothill League schedule against Golden Valley, a team that it hasn’t beaten since 2018. The two settled for a tie in 2021, but all other games were decided by six points or less. Hart is coming off a bye week after falling to Eisenhower 35-21, a game in which it scored all three of its touchdowns on the ground.
Under first-year head coach Sirr Shakir, Castaic has already surpassed its win total last season.Sierra Canyon has steamrolled its way to an unbeaten start behind an aggressive defense that has accumulated 26.5 sacks. The Trailblazers welcome Saguaro this week, the No. 4 team in Arizona in the CalPreps rankings. CalPreps lists the Trailblazers as the No. 4 team in California. Three-star running back and Georgia Tech commit Jaedon Matthews has taken the lead of Saguaro’s offense with 65.
