A Harrisburg man reportedly led officers on a high-speed chase on Monday afternoon in Lower Swatara Township.
Just before 5 p.m., Lower Swatara Township police attempted to pull over a vehicle with a "dead tag" at the 2200 block of West Harrisburg Pike. The driver, later identified as Leonard Evans III, reportedly fled at a high speed into Middletown Borough, the police said.

The chase ended near the 100 block of East Main Street after Evans reportedly smashed into multiple cars before trying to escape on foot, when he was tased and taken into custody. Once in custody, the police said they learned Evans had been driving on a suspended driver's license from a prior DUI.
