Updated: Aug. 09, 2024, 3:25 p.m.The Greater Cleveland Food Bank is seeking volunteers to help package food in the wake of the week's massive storm damage.CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Greater Cleveland Food Bank is urgently calling for volunteers to assist with a special project in response to this week’s storm and widespread power outages affecting the region.
This emergency operation will take place on Saturday, Aug. 10, with two shifts available: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The work will be carried out in the Repack Room at the Coit Road Partner Distribution Hub, and the Food Bank is recruiting 30 volunteers for each shift to help with this critical effort.
