Along with the opening local representatives unveiled a new timing board , opening up new opportunities for swim competitions outside.
Clark said the hope for this new installment is to inspire curiosity in kids that swim there, and encourage them to explore competitive swimming. "When people come into town, guess what they do, they spend money," said Mayor Evans. "What better way to spend money than coming to a beautiful pool, on a beautiful day, using these beautiful lanes."in an effort to get state funding to support local waters."As a swim coach, it's really exciting to host a meet, especially at a nice pool like this, " said Caleb Blank, a coach for the Rochester Rapids.
