Former Alabama State Representative Garreth Moore died on April 1, 2024
ENTERPRISE, Ala. - Garreth Moore, an Enterprise businessman and former state lawmaker, died Monday. He was 67.
Born in New Brockton, William Garreth Moore worked in his family’s construction business. In 1994, voters chose him as their state representative, and he served one term. The website Ballotpedia shows Moore ran for a state senate seat in 2014, but failed to oust longtime lawmaker Jimmy Holley.Garreth Moore was a man of many passions. He found joy in traveling, camping, horseback riding, scuba-diving, offshore fishing, riding motorcycles, a good hand of poker and cheering for Alabama football, the Atlanta Braves and various forms of racing. His wide range of interests mirrored the diverse world we live in.
