Central Alabama CrimeStoppers says scammers are posing as Alabama law enforcement.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - “Criminals, they always look for ways to scam people out of their money, so they’re always a step ahead,” said Tony Garrett with CrimeStoppers.

“The way that you can tell it’s a scam is they don’t go off the regular way of paying for a warrant or a bond,” said Garrett.If someone asks for money to be paid through PayPal or gift cards, it’s likely a scam.
