Meet 24-year-old Kelsey Hill, who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and acute myeloid leukemia in 2021.
) - He says doctors told him survival rates for both forms of cancer are pretty high, giving him a lot of hope. Throughout the journey, Hill says he’s lost a lot of hair and weight, but remains positive. At one point, Hill says he hit a roadblock – with doctors telling him he only had two weeks to live. But, having surpassed that prognosis, he’s now focused on eating healthier and raising funds to support his new lifestyle.
“I still have hope,” said Hill. “Still just chugging along and hopefully, hopefully next time I go get blood work done or get a test to see you know – to see where it’s at – hopefully, I’m praying, crossing my fingers that it’ll be gone.”“The two things that keep me going the most is my son and my wife,” said Hill. “Without them, honestly I don’t – it’ll be so hard on me. I tell her this daily – she don’t know how big of a part she play in my life. She make stuff so, so much easier for me.
Now, determined more than ever to keep going, he offers this message to the public -- “I just encourage you know, anybody else going through, you know, tough times, like I am, stay happy,” said Hill. “Do what makes you happy. Smile…My relationship with God is strong and I want to keep it like that.”
