Staff Reports Mason Crowder earned a 4-under-par 68 round to earn medalist honors and help Northside Methodist Academy to the team title of a three-team meet Thursday at Meadow Links Golf Course in Fort Gaines, Ga.In addition to Crowder’s 68, the Knights received a 77 from Davis Moore, an 81 from Hayden Foy and an 82 from Tanner Beasley. Nolan Williams posted an 83 score though it didn’t count to the team total.
People are also reading… Rehobeth girls win: The Rehobeth girls team beat Headland in three-team action at Meadow Links. Ingram’s 69 round edged Elba’s Jay Wilson by a stroke as Wilson carded a 70. Pike Liberal Arts’ Braden Prestwood finished third with a 73. Brantley’s Cooper Layton was fourth with a 75. Three golfers tied for fifth with a 78 – Wicksburg’s Carter Meyers, Elba’s Trace Grantham and Tuscaloosa Academy’s Michael Warr.
In addition to the scores from Wilson and Grantham, Elba got a 79 from Powell Bane and an 84 from Kane Harrison.
