Staff Reports Led by three scores under 80, Elba won an eight-team Elba Invitational varsity golf meet on Monday at the Enterprise Country Club.
Andalusia was fourth, followed by Straughn Providence Christian , New Brockton 1 and New Brockton 2 . Individually, Pike Liberal Arts’ Braden Prestwood was medalist after earning a 73, one stroke better than Elba’s Wilson . Samson’s Coy Ingram finished third with a 76 and Dothan’s Alex Broadaway finished tied for fourth with Geneva’s Colton Yarbrough after both carded a 77. Several golfers followed with a 78 – Elba’s Grantham and Harrison, Samson’s Luke Reid and Andalusia’s Jack Lathrop.
Enterprise dominates JV part: Enterprise No. 1 JV team and No. 2 JV team placed first and second among four teams and most of the top scores during the junior varsity competition at the Elba Invitational.
