Thursday afternoon, board members held a special called meeting in an attempt to regain some of the power over the deeply troubled utility. And here's why- Since the court appointed receiver took over the operations of the system, the board is not allowed to meet at the water board office, nor use any of its employees.
The three members who showed up for the meeting directed the board attorney to ask the judge in the case to make the receiver be more forthcoming to the public about how they're spending customer's money.
