Fiat, despite a 11% decline in global sales, continues to be Stellantis' top-selling brand worldwide for the fourth consecutive year. Key markets like Brazil, Italy, Turkey, and Algeria fueled Fiat's success, while challenges in Europe and limited US sales highlight the brand's ongoing journey.

Fiat sold over 1.2 million cars in 2024, solidifying its position as Stellantis ' best-selling brand worldwide for the fourth consecutive year. Despite a global sales decline of 11% from 2023, Fiat's dominance in key markets like Brazil , Italy , Turkey , and Algeria highlights its continued relevance within the automotive giant.

While the brand faced challenges, including a production pause for its electric 500 due to low demand, Fiat's strength in emerging markets and its resilient performance in its home market of Italy showcase its adaptability and resilience. Fiat's success story in 2024 is particularly evident in Brazil, where it captured a 20.9% market share with over 521,000 sales, largely driven by the best-selling Fiat Strada pickup. In Italy, Fiat retained its position as the country's leading brand, selling 190,000 units, with the aging Fiat Panda proving to be a popular choice. The brand's light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment also shone, accounting for 23.6% of the Italian market share. Fiat's performance in Turkey and Algeria further cemented its global standing, with the Egea and Doblo models proving highly popular in these markets. However, the picture in Europe was less rosy, with Fiat's sales declining by 20.4% in the EU, UK, Iceland, Norway, and Switzerland. While the brand managed to retain its position as Europe's best-selling city car with the refreshed Panda and the 500e held the title of best-selling electric city car in its segment, the retirement of the combustion engine-powered Fiat 500 left a void that the electric model hasn't fully filled. Fiat hopes to address this gap with the introduction of the 500 Ibrida, a hybrid model set to launch in late 2024. In the US market, Fiat sales remained limited, reaching only 1,528 units in 2024. Despite this small figure, it represented a 154% increase compared to 2023. Fiat CEO and Stellantis CMO, Olivier Francois, remains optimistic about the brand's future. He points to Fiat's global reach and strong performance in key markets as evidence of its continued relevance. While the brand faces challenges, particularly in Europe, its commitment to innovation and its focus on emerging markets suggest a bright future ahead
