The Fallout franchise is in a remarkably good place right now, particularly considering that it's been over a decade since the last major release in the single-player series. Unfortunately, it seems like we're not going to get another entry anytime soon, with Bethesda Entertainment's focus almost entirely on getting The Elder Scrolls VI into players' hands as soon as possible, which is understandable given that Skyrim came out all the way back in 2011.

Though there is obviously lots of crossover between the two fan bases, there are plenty of folks out there who only have eyes for the post-apocalypse, and they will inevitably be wrestling with the disappointing reality of a distinct lack of Fallout 5 for some time to come yet. Happily, there are other ways to fill the time and one of the best ways to do so is going back to the excellent older games, but next time you do why not give it a whole new look. This Fallout: New Vegas Remaster Is A Thing Of Beauty Over on YouTube, the channel Digital Dreams has become known for uploading technically impressive demos of games that have been through the reshade process, thrusting their visuals forward into 2026. The channel's next target was Fallout: New Vegas, which if you've played it anytime recently you'll know that it has begun to show its age aesthetically. Fortunately, this reshade does an unbelievable job of making it look almost entirely new, and the comments were predictably filled with those who were astounded that an individual had managed to do such a broad job. “One person managed to do this and yet, we are waiting years on a Fallout: New Vegas Remaster,” one comment read. “Goddamn, I had no idea that Fallout: New Vegas could actually look beautiful, but you've done it! Hats off to you!” another added. It's essentially the textures and lighting that have received a big buff here, and it looks pretty magnificent, though be warned that you will need a pretty beefy graphics card to keep everything running smoothly. Who Needs Fallout 5? Given just how different the final product looks here it really does take the edge off the realities around the release of Fallout 5. That said, it would be nice if Bethesda could hurry things along a bit, and it would be a salient business decision as well, given the increased attention around the franchise with the recent adaptation on Prime Video. Fallout Created by Tim Cain, Leonard Boyarsky First TV Show Fallout First Episode Air Date April 10, 2024 Cast Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, Moises Arias, Xelia Mendes-Jones, Walton Goggins Where to watch Amazon Prime Video TV Show Fallout Fallout is a post-apocalyptic RPG franchise set in an alternate future where a nuclear war devastates the world. Players explore vast, open worlds filled with mutants, raiders, and advanced technology. The series emphasizes player choice, allowing various approaches to combat, dialogue, and decision-making. Each game follows different protagonists navigating the wasteland to uncover secrets, form alliances, and rebuild civilization amidst the ruins of the old world. The franchise is known for its rich lore, dark humor, and retro-futuristic aesthetic, which has transferred over into its new series on Amazon Prime.
