A driver is charged with vehicular manslaughter after a crash that killed a man who stopped to help at the scene of an earlier accident. The other driver involved in the initial accident faces multiple charges, including OVI. The victim's family mourns his loss and seeks justice.

Ismail, 52, is charged with vehicular manslaughter , a second-degree misdemeanor, and Howard, 58, was charged with OVI and reckless operation, among other counts, all misdemeanors. Howard was driving a Chrysler Town & Country minivan southbound in the northbound lanes when he crashed into a Ford F-150 pickup truck and then a tractor-trailer, both traveling northbound, police say.

Moments later, another pickup truck driven by Sean Price slowed or stopped to avoid the wreck, police said. A second tractor-trailer, driven by Ismail, then slammed into the back of Price’s truck, ejecting him. Police said Price landed underneath the first semi, which then caught fire. Price died at the scene. Investigators said he was heading back to work from a break when he was hit. "We all believe honestly that he stopped right there to make sure that those other drivers were okay, and then the semi just full throttle right into him," said Arina Turner, Price's daughter. "So many ways it could have went, but it went in the worst possible way," said Demetrius Honaker, Price's son. According to court documents, police allege Ismail failed to keep an "assured clear distance ahead" when he struck Price's truck. The charging documents also say Ismail was not driving recklessly or under the influence. Investigators say Howard's blood tests at the hospital showed a BAC of .133. He reportedly did not have a valid driver's license, only a state identification card. "You can be charged, but I need them convicted," said Turner. "I need them in jail, like I want justice, true justice." Howard is set to appear in Franklin County Municipal Court on April 2, while Ismail is scheduled to appear on April 23. Price's children said they remember their dad for his helpful ways and his big heart to match his personality. "He was a great father, a great grandfather to him," Honaker said. "Really good grandfather to him. He was always there." His children said they will fight for him and want the two suspects to be held accountable to the fullest extent."There's so many different things that could have happened, and it didn't happen, and my dad can't be here," said Turner. "They robbed a whole family and also friends of a person who was the most genuine person ever."Man shot dead at business on Lockbourne Road Columbus police responded to a shooting on Lockbourne Road early Wednesday morning.Few details were immediately available, but ABC6 confirmed the shooting tA body found floating in Big Walnut Creek by passerby Sunday has been identified as Angela Fair.
