It’s part of the developer’s largest vision for the areaOne of North Texas’ busiest developers will start this week on a massive mixed-use project in Grayson County that includes thousands of homes. The site is close to where roughly $35 billion in semiconductor-related expansions are anticipated.will begin its work on Cottonwood, a development near the small city of Dorchester, the company announced Friday.

In total, Cottonwood is expected to consist of 4,000 single-family lots, along with 1,450 rental units and 250,000 square feet of commercial and retail space, Glendenning said. The property has been established as a municipal utility district to pay for infrastructure.Since 1990, Centurion American has developed more than 100,000 single-family home lots in dozens of residential communities.

“As the economic engine in Grayson County accelerates, we are proud to help facilitate the growth of communities to support the skilled workforce these high-tech employers will require,” Sean Terry, VP of Entitlements at Centurion American Development Group, said in a statement. “It is a real honor to be helping lead Dorchester into this next phase of growth.
