Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Education (DepEd) will push through with enrollment for schoolyear 2020-2021 starting Monday (June 1).
Earlier, DepEd released the modified enrollment guidelines for public schools nationwide. They adhere to the rules set by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases .
For those living in far-flung areas with no access to technology, she said the schools will communicate with local governments, the barangay specifically, to coordinate with students in their area on where they can get enrollment and survey forms. “In the first two weeks of June, we will conduct remote enrollment as it is not allowed to physically go to schools,” DepEd said.
“They should strictly observe the health standards of IATF during the possible physical enrollment, such as social distancing and wearing of face mask,” DepEd said.
