The local government of Manila is looking forward to opening its own coronavirus disease (COVID-19) laboratory by the second week of June.
Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Saturday said that he is aiming to inaugurate the city’s first COVID-19 laboratory at the Sta. Ana Hospital on June 15, which will then allow the city to conduct a whooping 1,000 swab tests per day.
“So doon kami nakafocus sa COVID-19. While we are gearing towards the new norms, habang nabubuhay ang negosyo at nabubuhay ang tao, ang gobyerno naman ay naka focus sa COVID-19 [That where we are focusing now. While we are gearing towards the new norms and while the businesses and the people are still alive, the government will remain focused on addressing the COVID-19 problem,]” he said.
In a recent Facebook address, Moreno said that the new laboratory is part of the city’s “long-term” plan as they strengthen their efforts to stem the COVID-19 outbreak.Related Posts
