Democrat Jared Polis defeated conservative Republican Heidi Ganahl, winning a second term as Colorado's governor.
With two-thirds of the vote counted, Polis had 58.6% of the vote, compared to Ganahl's 39.5%, according to NBC News.
Polis's victory Tuesday further contributes to speculation that he may throw his hat into the 2024 presidential race, though he has dismissed such speculations, according to Axios.Polis thanked Coloradans in his victory speech, telling them that he believes"Colorado's best days are still ahead."
