The Colonial Park Mall also owes $564,192.62 in additional unpaid taxes and some administrative fees.
“I just filed the default judgment this morning,” he said.
The mall owes a little more than $256,000 in sewer and stormwater costs and related fees, Stine said. Stine said next he will file a notice of a sale between now and the deadline for the next county sheriff’s sale. Once that is done, he said the Dauphin County sheriff’s office will place a sign on the building notifying the public that the building is headed to sale. The mall could head to sale as early as July 20.
The money the mall owes will keep increasing and the minimum bid at the sheriff’s sale will include the amount they owe plus attorney and related fees. Stine said the mall would have to pay the total amount in full before the sale in order to prevent it from being auctioned off. The mall remains open and has about 37 vacancies, about 16 more than it did two years ago. These days there are 39 tenants,
