The latest tornado to strike near Cottonwood snapped trees and caused damage to a few structures in the area.
The National Weather Service survey says there was an EF0 tornado that touched down just after 4 a.m. on Friday morning near Cottonwood.DOTHAN, Ala. -
The tornado touched down along Hooper Cherry Road early on the morning of Friday, May 10. Additional damage occurred along A.J. Register Road, where significant damage to outbuildings was noted.The tornado briefly showed up on the debris tracker live during News4 severe weather coverage, displaying the path of damage. There was a tornado watch for much of the area to cover the potential for rotating storms.
The tornado lifted shortly after this point. The damage was consistent with an EF-0 rating and had maximum winds of approximately 85 mph.Subscribe to our
