Porter Dykes led the inning off with a double and advanced to third on a wild pitch. After a pop out, CJ Sullivan reached first base on a passed ball third strike. Dykes scored on the same pitch. Both teams scored in the first inning. Miller had an RBI sac fly for Cottonwood to score Meadows, who drew walk and moved to third on a Morris single. Sullivan had an RBI single for Providence to drive in Dykes, who opened the inning with a triple.Providence Christian threw five pitchers, who combined to hold the Bears to six hits and a run. Sullivan, who pitched the sixth inning, was the winning pitcher, striking out two and walking one. Smith worked the last inning and earned a save.
