Thousands in Dallas and Tarrant County experienced power outages early Wednesday morning as a winter storm brought freezing temperatures, wind chills, and light snow. The largest outages were reported in west Oak Cliff and Old East Dallas. Oncor, the region's electricity provider, expects all outages in Dallas County to be restored by 2 p.m. Wednesday.

The largest outages in Dallas County were in west Oak Cliff near Dallas College’s Mountain View campus, with about 780 affected customers, and in Old East Dallas near downtown, with about 700 affected customers.

All outages in Dallas County were expected to be resolved by 2 p.m. Wednesday, per Oncor’s dashboard. An expected restoration time was not available for all of Tarrant County.Early Wednesday, the region saw temperatures in the teens and wind chills in the negatives, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office.
