Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty puts you in charge of the final decision over former SovOil interrogator Katya. Here’s what the choice affects.

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The Cyberpunk 2077 side quest "Spy in the Jungle" forces players to decide the fate of a former SovOil agent named Katya. The quest begins with Ana and Steven, two members of a Brazilian intelligence agency, hiring V to find their missing friend and former collaborator, one Mark Bana. Bana wore a biomonitor at the time of his disappearance, which is still giving off signals to suggest he might be alive.

Ana still insists that V kill Katya, but if they continue to talk with Katya, she's grateful for their mercy. She gives V Bana's biomonitor, and also a bit of useful intel. She claims to have a stash somewhere in Dogtown, and provides the coordinates to it. This begins the side job "Money for Nothing," which is entirely about the search for Katya's stash. Following the quest marker leads V to an abandoned Dogtown parking garage.

Other than that story implication, this Cyberpunk choice doesn't matter much. However, it's worth noting that Ana is willing to pay V a significant bonus for direct delivery - 6,000 eddies to Steven's 4,000. You Should Spare Katya And Give The Biomonitor To Ana In Phantom Liberty Letting Katya live and giving the biomonitor to Ana seems to provide the best outcome for everyone involved in Phantom Liberty. Naturally, Katya is far better off alive than dead, even if she's still pursued by SovOil. Plus, giving Ana the biomonitor and allowing SovOil's dirty deeds to come to light may give Katya a new lease on life.
