2026 has been a great year for anime fans so far. With many great shows coming out this year, plus One Piece making a comeback in April with a new production plan, now is the best time to get into the Japanese genre.

And now, accessing the biggest shows just became easier. Since 2006, Crunchyroll has been the streaming giant of anime. As of writing, the platform boasts over 2000 titles in its library and 15 million users worldwide. And while it was previously reported that other platforms like Netflix and Disney+ have been gaining dominance in the space, Crunchyroll remains highly recognized and is home to many big shows. And now, the anime streaming platform is accessible through another platform. The Crunchyroll app is now available on Apple TV devices for users in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom. Users can subscribe to the streaming platform via this latest Apple integration, gaining access to a large anime library. For those who haven't yet made an account, it was reported that users won't need a separate login, as their existing Apple accounts will work with Crunchyroll's Apple TV app. If you subscribe through this method, there's a 7-day free trial, after which the monthly fee is $9.99 and will be billed to your Apple account. Apple TV is just one of many integrations that Crunchyroll supports. Users can access the anime streaming platform through other Smart TV streaming devices, such as Google TV, as well as free live channels on Roku, PlutoTV, and Freevee, among others. Posts By Macklen Makhloghi Best Anime To Watch on Crunchyroll If You're New Crunchyroll is home to many new titles, and if it's your first time making an account and exploring the genre due to this latest Apple TV integration, picking your first show might be overwhelming. Fortunately, some titles can be described as good"first anime," either for their quality, storytelling, or ease of catching up. The first anime recommendation if you're after your first show is Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba. The show follows Tanjiro Kamado, who trains to become a demon slayer after a demon killed his family and transformed his sister into one. The show is already finished, covering all 4 seasons, and is now adapting its final chapters through three feature films. This is a good show to start if you want something complete, yet ongoing. Another recommendation is Frieren: Beyond Journey's End. This is a fantasy series that takes place after the main hero party defeats the big bad and enters an Era of Peace. One of the party members is Frieren, an Elf, who's embarking on an adventure in hopes of reuniting with one of her deceased party members due to her regret of not knowing them better. Both Seasons 1 and 2 have already been released, and Season 3 is scheduled for next year. Lastly, there is Attack on Titan, which was considered one of the best series of the 2010s. The show follows Eren Yeager, a young boy who witnesses his mother being killed by a large man-eating titan, thus making it his mission to kill them all and give humanity its freedom back after being trapped in a city with large walls for years. Attack on Titan is praised for its incredible storytelling and worldbuilding, and it and hundreds of other anime titles are available to stream right now on Crunchyroll.Powered by Expand Collapse
