From sweet, youthful romances that capture the magic of first love, to cozy fantasy worlds you’ll want to escape into, to high-energy action series that keep your adrenaline pumping, there’s truly something for every kind of anime fan. And of course, it wouldn’t be a new season without the return of some beloved favorites, ready to pick up where they left off and remind us why we got hooked in the first place. With so many options hitting your screen, it can be hard to know where to start. That’s why we’ve rounded up the most anticipated anime titles of this spring to help guide your watchlist.Cast: Chiaki Kobayashi, Yuuki Sakakihara, Takuya Eguchi, Ai Fairouz. Opening strong, Go For It, Nakamura-kun!! is a comedic BL series centered on Okuto Nakamura, a shy, anxious, and closeted high school student with a secret crush on his kind-hearted classmate, Aiki Hirose. Ever since the school entrance ceremony, Nakamura has admired Hirose’s outgoing and cheerful nature, albeit from afar, thanks to his painfully awkward social skills. After working up the courage and playing out every possible scenario in his head, Nakamura finally decides to talk to Hirose. But his first attempt at making contact goes hilariously wrong, turning what could have been the start of a friendship into a complete disaster. Now, Nakamura must somehow undo that terrible first impression and find a way to get closer to the boy he likes. The manga’s cheerful design and retro-inspired art style appear to carry over beautifully into the anime adaptation, giving longtime fans even more reason to be excited about this charming and relatable story of first love.Cast: Anna Nagase, Fuuka Izumi, Shouya Chiba, Satoshi Inomata. Koyuki Hikawa struggles to connect with others, keeping a firm wall between herself and the world, with the exception of her best friend, Miki Azumi. Her aloof expression often makes her seem unapproachable, leaving her to spend most of her high school days alone, which she doesn’t mind all that much. Things change when she meets Minato Amamiya, a boy who, for reasons she can’t quite understand, keeps closing the distance between them. Before long, their dynamic expands to include the popular and outgoing Miki, the boundary-blurring Minato, and Youta, an easygoing and kind member of the basketball team. What begins as an unlikely connection slowly grows into a tight-knit group, as the four navigate friendship, emotions, and the ups and downs of youth together.Cast: Kensho Ono, Yume Miyamoto, Misaki Kuno. From the creator of Full Metal Alchemist, Daemons of the Shadow Realm is set in a remote, isolated village, where two twins are born under mysterious circumstances. Years later, their lives have taken vastly different paths. The older brother, Yuru, has grown into a skilled hunter, while his sister, Asa, has been confined to a cage, tasked with a sacred duty that limits her contact with the outside world. One day, their fragile existence is shattered when a group of armed men arrives in helicopters and launches a brutal attack in search of Yuru, killing every adult in sight. As Yuru rushes to find Asa and escape, he instead discovers her lifeless body, and even more unsettling, her killer claims to be his true twin sister. Before Yuru can process what’s happening, he is rescued by a man named Dera, who visits their village from time to time. As they find themselves cornered with nowhere left to run, Dera urges Yuru to offer a gift to the village’s deity, summoning two daemons whose arrival may finally unravel the truth behind the chaos.Cast: Wataru Takagi, Yuu Kobayashi, Reina Kondou, Yoshimasa Hosoya, Miyu Tomita, Kenyuu Horiuchi, Kengo Takanashi. Six years after the anime premiered, we’re heading back to the Hole for the second season of Dorohedoro. As a refresher, Hole is a crumbling, chaotic district where the strong exploit the weak, and death is just part of everyday life. Cut off from rules and morality, it serves as a playground for magic users who rule over it. Sitting at the very top of their society, these magic users see the people of Hole as disposable. Caiman, however, can’t be subdued. More reptile than human, Caiman relentlessly hunts the magic users in search of answers, armed only with his trusty bayonets and a rare immunity to their powers. Burdened by his monstrous form and haunted by unsettling dreams, he believes the magic users hold the key to reclaiming his former life. Despite his struggles, Nikaidou, the owner of the Hungry Bug restaurant, stands by his side through it all.Cast: Rena Motomura, Natsuki Hanae, Hibiku Yamamura, Kurumi Haruki. First announced in 2022, Witch Hat Atelier was initially set to premiere last year but faced multiple production delays. Given the source material’s elaborate detail and intricate designs, the setback isn’t surprising, especially since official statements confirmed the studio aimed to “deliver the series with the highest possible quality and fully capture its charm.” However, this unmissable series is finally premiering in 2026. The story centers on Coco, the daughter of a modest dressmaker, who has long been interested in magic and the witches who wield it, despite their careful efforts to keep its secrets hidden from ordinary people. Everything changes when Coco seizes a rare opportunity to observe the talented witch Qifrey, only to discover that her beloved picture book is actually a concealed spellbook. Overcome with excitement, she begins experimenting with magic right away. But when one of her spells leads to a devastating accident at home, Qifrey steps in to save her and ultimately decides to take her on as an apprentice. Now, Coco must refine her abilities and learn to work alongside Qifrey’s other students. Cast: Kazuya Kamenashi, Takuya Satou, Maaya Uchida. This new anime series, which also has a live-action adaptation, follows Shizuku Kanzaki, the only son of celebrated wine critic Yutaka Kanzaki. He grew up under an unusual and demanding upbringing centered entirely on wine, and his father’s rigid training eventually made him resent anything related to it. Frustrated, Shizuku chose to walk away from that world, leaving home to live a normal life as a beer company sales representative, vowing never to touch wine again. After his father’s sudden death, Shizuku is pulled back into the very world he abandoned. According to his father’s will, whoever can successfully identify the “12 Apostles” of wine, along with the mythical “Drops of God,” will inherit his vast wine collection and estate. While Shizuku initially thought the challenge was absurd, he didn’t know that Yutaka had adopted Issei Tomine, known as the “Prince of Wine”, just a week before his passing. With no formal experience in wine tasting, Shizuku seems completely outmatched, facing the very real possibility of losing everything.Cast: Kazuya Kamenashi, Takuya Satou, Maaya Uchida.
