Marlon Williams is set to serve 40 years to life in prison for the murder of 24-year-old Shaquan Parker, who was gunned down in the backyard of a home on Wellington Avenue July 15, 2022, according to prosecutors. Investigators determined Williams was driving when he saw Parker and fired multiple gunshots in his direction, fatally wounding him. "Marlon Williams was out searching for Shaquan Parker with the intention to kill him,” Monroe County Assistant District Attorney Patrick Gallagher said in a statement. “The defendant shot at the victim from a motor vehicle, risking the lives of others in the area as well." Williams was eventually arrested Sept. 5, 2023, more than a year later when he was found in possession of the illegal gun that was used in the murder, police said.
