The construction is expected to be completed by the fall of 2027. Rochester, N.Y. — State officials announced the start of an almost $61 million bridge replacement project along I-490 in Monroe County. The project will replace aging structures, which were built in the 1950s, with modern structures to enhance safety.“I suggest that you plan ahead, give yourself extra time or plan a different route; there are a lot of different routes in the Rochester area,” said Chris Reeve, the regional director for the NYS Department of Transportation. “It may be a longer route in distance, it might be a shorter route in time because this corridor during construction will have delays.”
