Columbus has already picked up around 1.5 inches of rain as of 3 AM, and we still have several hours of rain to go. Rain will continue drifting south this morning with temps falling from the 50s into the 40s, then into the 30s by late morning. A few snowflakes or flurries may try to mix in on the back edge of the rain. This afternoon, Central Ohio will only warm to around 45 with decreasing clouds. Chilly north winds of 10–15 mph will make it feel like the 20s and 30s. The sun may break out at times this afternoon, and we’ll stay mostly clear tonight as temps dip into the 20s. Cool and dry weekend. Saturday starts with patchy frost across Central Ohio and temps in the 20s. We’ll be sunny and chilly with a high around 47 and light northwest winds. Sunday, winds turn out of the southwest at 5–10 mph. Temps start in the lower 30s, then we warm to around 61 with partly cloudy skies.Warmer next week with rain returning. Isolated showers or storms are possible Monday and Tuesday as we warm to around 68, then 76. Winds will pick up Tuesday and Wednesday with an approaching cold front. The front looks to move through early Wednesday, likely bringing rain mainly early in the day. Temps may hold steady or fall Wednesday, with highs near 70 early. Rain pushes south early Wednesday, then lifts back north Thursday. High around 62 with rain returning later Thursday.
