Braden Booth of Bob Jones High School is The Huntsville Times Boys Athlete of the Year, another in a long line of honors the Mississippi State signee has earned after the 2024 baseball season.. He was also the first Patriot to be the ASWA’s Player of the Year and the first to be named Pitcher of the Year.
Booth was named Alabama’s player of the year by national websites Prep Baseball and MaxPreps – where he was the only player from the state to be named to the All-American first team .Gatorade Alabama Baseball Player of the Year . Booth donated the $1,000 Gatorade grant that comes with the award to the Miracle League of Madison. The money will be put toward the Miracle League’s goal of building an all-inclusive field and complex at Palmer Park in order to “provide opportunities for children with disabilities to play baseball,” according to the city’s website.
