After the first cold front pushes down to the coast, we struggle to stay in the low 70s by Monday afternoon. That’s more than a 10° difference than what we’ve seen in the last week!Don’t forget to bring that umbrella with you as you go to work or school this week, as rain chances start ramping up with our next cold front on Tuesday and Wednesday. Another round of rain comes in to start the weekend as another cold front moves through.
The second week of February is turning out to be tumultuous one, with multiple cold fronts swinging through Houston. These fronts bring with it decent rain chances and a temperature roller coaster. This week Thursday and next week Monday look to be the coldest days in the extended forecast, after those fronts push out that warmer air. Valentine’s Day looks to be just near the average for this time of year, with barely any chance for rain.Amanda Goluszka is a weather intern at KPRC 2.
