The Kansas City Chiefs have signed former Steelers kicker Matthew Wright.
kicker Matthew Wright for their Black Friday clash against the Las Vegas Raiders. Two kickers have gone down for Kansas City with injuries, meaning they had to call Wright up, who dealt with his own injury earlier this year while he was kicking for the San Francisco 49ers.
The 26 year old has been a journeyman kicker and this is his second stint with the Chiefs, his first coming in 2021. An undrafted kicker out of UCF, the Steelers have brought Wright in multiple times for training camp. He helped kicker Chris Boswell have a lighter workload this summer as the Steelers have changed how Boswell works to make sure his body is in great shape.
It also allowed Wright a chance to kick in live games and showcase what he can do for other teams. When injuries have hit, the 49ers and now the Chiefs have called. Wright has an 86 percent field goal percentage over his career with a career-long of 59 yards., where our team of sports betting experts has reviewed the experience, payout speed, parlay options and quality of odds for multiple sportsbooks.
