The Kansas City Chiefs will get some reinforcements before they play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas.
Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco celebrates after scoring during the second half of an NFL football game against the Baltimore Ravens Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024, in Kansas City, Mo. on Christmas. For that game, the Chiefs should have running back Isiah Pacheco back in the fold. Pacheco landed on injured reserve after he featured his fibula in Week 2, but after a few solid weeks of practice, he should play starting next week.
That will help boost the Chiefs' running game, but he is not the only player likely to be on their way back. Defensive lineman Charles Omenihu has been out with a torn ACL suffered at the end of last season. The Chiefs already have a deep defensive line, and Omenihu would only add to that. Meanwhile, the passing game that lost Rahsee Rice could see a boost. Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown was thought to be out for the season with a severe SC joint injury that required surgery, but Brown is making quick progress and could be back before Christmas. If that happens, the Chiefs will be stronger and healthier than ever when they face the Steelers.
Pittsburgh should be healthier by that point, too. Outside linebacker Alex Highsmith will return, and there is an outside chance that the Steelers could even have offensive tackle Troy Fautanu back at that point., where our team of sports betting experts has reviewed the experience, payout speed, parlay options and quality of odds for multiple sportsbooks.
