Fast-food establishments are trying to reclaim their reputation for low prices with deals that are continuing into the winter season — and grocers are following suit. NBC’s Christine Romans reports for TODAY on the offers to help consumers fight inflation.

Burger King is getting into the holiday spirit with a long list of savings for its customers. On Dec. 1, the burger chain began its 31 Days of Deals, which offers Royal Perks members free food, merch and other digital exclusives. The brand also recently debuted its first-ever Advent calendar, complete with 12 items inspired by menu items, ad campaigns and other highlights of its 70-year history.

To bring the holiday spirit to life, Burger King has also constructed the “BK Village,” an immersive experience in its app. Royal Perks members can check out a snowy and adorably animated village to unlock deals and decorate in-app for the holidays. Each day, members can open a mailbox in their digital holiday home to see the redeemable deal that day which then unlocks activities, interactions and more. On Nov. 22, the chain began selling its first limited-edition BK Advent Calendar for $19.
