Hundreds of students and teachers from Brunswick City Schools showcased innovative learning opportunities during the fourth annual Excellence Showcase. The event highlighted projects across various grade levels and subjects, from classroom lessons to extracurricular programs.

“We always look for opportunities to connect with the community and to forge community relationships,” Neidermeyer said. “We hope this shows what is happening in our schools; rigorous curriculum and relevant experiences building relationships with teachers.” This school year, Haskell said, students created Pop Culture Museum, an interactive display exploring topics from the evolution of superheroes to the impact of presidential debates. He said the class’s Excellence Showcase display featured portions of the Pop Culture Museum including explorations of fashion, film and skateboarding and hip-hop culture.
