) - The Cody Road branch of the Boys and Girls Club of South Alabama hosted its annual Grand Coronation, an evening honoring club members and their achievements.“The kids could have a sense of belonging and something where they could feel beautiful, where they could really dress up and feel like princes and princesses,” said GiGi Williams, branch director of Cody Road Boys and Girls Club.
Williams said the event is more than a fundraiser. It recognizes outstanding leadership, honors local youth and celebrates the hard work of club members. Austin English served as grand marshal. English has been a member of the club for more than five years. “The club has meant so many things to me.
