Boksburg FC U8 team had to dig deep to come back from behind and win against Blackball United in a derby match at Boksburg Stadium on May 20.
The match began with Boksburg exacting pressure on their opposition, but missing clear-cut opportunities.
Later, a striker of Boksburg, Amogelang Pasha, had a great opportunity, but the goalkeeper of the opposition saved it. Both teams were level on points 1-1. Pasha kept trying his luck. He unleashed a long-range shot, saved by the opposition’s shot-stopper as well. Boksburg kept mounting pressure on its neighbours.
A Boksburg player Junior Mashilo finally beat the goalkeeper who saved Blackball on numerous occasions and put Boksburg in the 2-1 lead for the first time in the match.
