The Pennsylvania Game Commission has several recommendations if you see a bear.
A black bear spotted on Monday in the Peachtree Village neighborhood in Upper Allen Township was the third sighting in the area in the last month. The bear briefly wandered into the neighborhood and went on its way, police said.three miles away in the area of East Winding Hill Road and Winding Hill Drive in Upper Allen Township. A bear also moseyedon Sunday, prompting police to ask residents in the area of Garland Drive and South Hanover Street to keep their pets inside.
“Don’t leave bird feeders out overnight, and clean up all the residue. Even bird seed will attract bears because they like sunflower seeds,” Stoner said. “If you have a grill, keep it clean and secure.”
