Kate revealed Derek's last words before his coma
Ben Shephard teared up as Kate Garraway gave a heartbreaking interview about her husband Derek Draper's coronavirus battle.
Derek is father to Kate's two children Darcey, 14, and Billy, 10, who have both featured heavily on Kate's social media during their dad's battle. "He went into hospital, straight to intensive care, and in that first week it looked like he was rallying. The doctors were very positive, saying they were doing less oxygen levels, but he was very bad.
She continued: "On the Sunday morning, they rang me up, and they said, 'we've got him here, we're going to put him into the coma, because overnight... we think it's best if we do that. He's here, he can hear you'."
