landed in Beeston after a man was trapped under a car. Police also arrived on Windsor Street and around the Dovecote Park area, where the helicopter is said to have landed, at just after 9.30am on Saturday, August 10.Windsor Street and Dovecote Park Recreation Ground are situated both off the A6005 Queens Road through the town. A Greggs bakery is stationed near the corner of Windsor Street, which some witnesses said was near where police presence appeared to be focused.
"An air ambulance was called to the scene and a man aged in his 50s was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The scene has been cordoned off while an investigation takes place. Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed their attendance, saying that appliances from West Bridgford Highfields and Long Eaton had been sent to the scene. A specialist rescue unit from Highfields was also in attendance.A cordon is in place at the scene, at witness near to the scene has testified. The witness said they could not get close enough to see what was going on or to take a photo but mentioned that there were "coppers on foot everywhere.
The nature of the incident is still unclear but police confirmed one man has been taken to hospital. They also said the incident does not appear to be one of a criminal nature.
