Police cordoned off the road and an air ambulance landed on the Dovecote Park Recreation Ground
A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after becoming trapped under a vehicle - described as Land Rover by witnesses - in Beeston . Officers were called to Windsor Street, in Beeston , at around 9.30am on Saturday, August 10, and found a man in his 50s seriously injured.
An air ambulance landed in Dovecote Park Recreation Ground, about half a mile from Windsor Street down the A6005 Queens Road, but a witness said he saw a man being put into a road ambulance. A staff member at Wicked Haze vape shop nearby said he had gone out for a cigarette at just after 9am and returned to the desk before the incident unfolded. He had spoken to one of a Royal Mail postman who had raised the alarm.
