Ohio State's baseball team overcame a difficult start to the week, culminating in a dominant series-clinching victory over Penn State. Despite a midweek loss and a series opener defeat, the Buckeyes showcased resilience and offensive firepower to secure their fourth consecutive series win.

The BaseBucks baseball team experienced a mixed week, ultimately securing their fourth consecutive series win overall and their third within the conference. Their performance saw a significant contrast between mid-week struggles and a strong Sunday showing.

The week began with a tough mid-week MACtion game against Bowling Green. The Falcons dominated early, seizing a 4-0 lead before the Buckeyes could even record an out. Starting pitcher Ryan Butler was quickly pulled after only recording one out. Bowling Green extended their lead, eventually winning the game 9-3. This loss marked Butler's first decision of the season.

Friday's game saw Ohio State take an early lead thanks to a solo home run by Noah Furcht. They further extended their lead with a series of hits, including a three-run homer by Miles Vandenheuvel. However, Penn State chipped away at the lead, eventually taking a 7-5 advantage. The Buckeyes managed to cut the lead to one, but a late three-run homer by Penn State sealed the series opener, with a final score of 10-6.

Saturday presented a defensive battle with Ohio State winning 3-2. Alex Bemis and Noah Furcht scored to give Ohio State the win. Chris Domke recorded the win.

Sunday's rubber match showcased the Buckeyes' offensive prowess. Ohio State quickly built a 3-0 lead. Penn State attempted a comeback, but Ohio State continued to score. The B3 saw Henry Kaczmar with a GRAND SLAM, pushing the score to 12-3. Ohio State continued their scoring streak with singles by Grant Mangrum and Jacob Parr. The Nittany Lions fought back with runs, but Ohio State's lead proved insurmountable. Nick Sawyer closed the game to secure the 15-10 series-clinching victory.

After the 2-2 week, Ohio State's record improved to 19-15. Up next, Ohio State closes out the home stand against Marshall and then travels to West Lafayette to face Purdue.
