Bank of America confirmed that "some clients" were experiencing issues accessing their account balance information but that the issue has been "largely resolved." Outage reports on Downdetector, which collects data on outages, peaked around 1 p.m. ET with more than 20,000 outage reports. As of 3:37 p.m.
"My entire family and I are experiencing the same system glitch that occurred in August 2020, where ALL of our accounts show $0 balance. This seems to not be acknowledged by Bank of America, and we are unable to get in contact with a representative. What's going on????" one X user wrote to the Bank of America Help page on X. "Should I be concerned?" another user wrote.
