Last year, Pat turned the Wheel of Fortune reins over to a friend of the show, Ryan Seacrest, who had put time and effort into studying the game. Co-host Vanna White decided not to retire to help the transition between hosts go more smoothly. Despite his retirement as host, Pat and his daughter Maggie are still heavily involved in the show. Pat Sajak Has Been Featured On His Daughter Maggie's Instagram Lately Although Pat hosted Wheel of Fortune for over 40 years, his newest career could be a millennial one. After being featured in his daughter Maggie's posts, it is clear that Pat has a knack for social media trends, especially when aided by his social media manager daughter. One of the posts that sparked fans to comment was on a trend. The trend involves lip-syncing to a song by PinkPantheress called Illegal. Maggie's caption read"Was he confused? Yes. But did he nail the lip sync? 100%!! Petition to get Pat to do more trends??" This isn't the first time that Pat has been featured on Maggie's page, nor is it the first time he's gone viral. All summer, Maggie has been pranking Pat or interviewing him. Maggie is the social media correspondent for Wheel of Fortune, so interviewing the former host is right up her alley already. However, Pat does not make it easy for her and instead evades her questions altogether. Plus, after half a century in the entertainment business, Pat has gone viral a few times. Last year, Pat noticed he was trending on X, formerly Twitter, and joked about rumors of his death, saying,"Thought I had passed away. Turns out I'm fine." Obviously, Pat has the comedic chops to be a social media influencer. 'Wheel of Fortune' Fans Love The Pat Sajak Content After Maggie's posts, fans hopped into the comments to celebrate the retired host. One follower commented,"Pat CLEARLY missed his calling to be a social media influencer." Other fans pointed out Pat's perfect lip-syncing to the TikTok trend with one fan writing,"HAHA lip sync on point and we know how hard it is to get it right!!!!!" If becoming an influencer was something Pat wanted to do, the fans would have his back; Maggie's posts are proof of that support. Pat Sajak Has Time On His Hands Now That He Is Retired Since retiring as host of Wheel of Fortune last year, Pat has had more time to venture into new opportunities, some Wheel-related and some not. For example, hosting Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. He has also stayed on as a consultant for Wheel of Fortune. However, even though he is having a tough time departing the show he loves so much, he has begun to branch out. Pat recently concluded a musical theater run in Prescription: Murder earlier this month. With his retirement, Pat could be exploring more theater opportunities and has stated in an interview with Maggie that a new project would have to suit him just right, but now he has at least one other path open for him. The fans think Pat has what it takes, so maybe his future is as a social media star. Pat earned his retirement. Fans would support Pat if his next gig after Wheel of Fortune was to become a social media influencer. It is clear from Maggie's Instagram post that Pat does have what it takes to be a viral sensation.
