Two suspects are facing charges in connection to a shooting that left a Loachapoka teen dead and another injured.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Elijah Rogers and Barthonia Howard, both of Notasulga, were arrested Monday in Tuscaloosa and will be transferred to Macon County without bond. They are each charged with murder and attempted murder. Rogers and Howard, both 18, graduated from Notasulga High School in May, according to the Macon County School District’s social media.Officials said a 16-year-old was found dead on the scene and a 17-year-old was also injured and taken to a local hospital. Both shooting victims were students of Loachapoka High School, according to Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones.
