Say goodbye (for now) to triple-digit temperatures, as we expect cooler temperatures this weekend in Phoenix.

It was another record day in Phoenix with our heatwave finally starting to break. Phoenix hit a high of 102 degrees on Friday, with the normal average sitting at 81 degrees. This breaks our 1986 record of 98 degrees, with more records possible for the weekend.

Saturday will bring in a high of around 97 degrees, with the record sitting at 95 degrees. Winds will pick up for parts of the state with wind advisories for much of southeastern Arizona through Saturday afternoon.We can expect wind gusts up to 45mph. Red flag warnings are also in place for southeastern portions of the state until 8:00 PM.
