What started as an argument about a dog escalated into gunfire, leaving a man dead and his stepfather detained, according to the Houston Police Department. The stepson and his girlfriend went to his stepfather’s house in the 600 block of Gale Street in north Houston and got into an argument about a dog, Brian Bennett from the Houston Police Department told On Scene reporters Saturday. The stepson then attempted to force his way into the house, which is when the stepfather shot him around 10:45 p.m., Bennett said.The stepson was taken to the hospital in a severe condition and later died.
