San Antonio residents are urged to prepare for a significant cold snap as an Arctic front sweeps through Texas, bringing a drastic temperature plunge. The cold front is expected to arrive Tuesday evening, with temperatures plummeting by 20 degrees or more within a couple of hours. Residents are advised to take precautions to protect pipes from freezing.
Thursday will feature morning sunshine followed by increasing clouds in the afternoon, moderating the temperature rise to the low 40s. Friday is predicted to be a cloudy day, keeping temperatures in the mid to upper 30s throughout the afternoon. By the end of the week, San Antonio is projected to experience three record cold temperatures. This cold snap is expected to subside by Sunday, with afternoon temperatures reaching 70 degrees.
This will be followed by a warmer week next week in our area.
