The Labor Academy’s online description for their event gives some insight to how some Labor supporters think about the dynamic. The Labor Academy describes itself as “a platform for Labor ideas, values, policies, economics, history and politics”, run by members for members. It has hosted online events with federal MPs Andrew Leigh and Peter Khalil.but held events for branch members. She said the event was to help Labor members discuss and organise against Greens campaigns in Labor-held seats.“But they’re not a younger sibling anymore,” she said.

“My free advice for their forum? People want Labor to stop tinkering around the edges with bandaid answers and start negotiating with the Greens on real solutions to the big crises we’re facing,” he said. Labor, in turn, has begun taking a bolder position in publicly criticising the Greens. Albanese has accused the party of being in a “no-alition” with the Coalition; other senior ministers have followed suit, including Bill Shorten, who last week hit out at “an unholy alliance between the Greens political party and their new right-wing allies, the Liberal party”.
